The swans on the River Avon where Weeping Willows grace the banks invited us to Shakespeare’s hometown. Our hotel, the Crowne Plaza, sits on the edge of this picturesque town. We tried our skills at punting on the River and found that we better keep our day jobs! Made for some great pictures and a whole lot of laughs (from the spectators especially!) This celebrated town is the perfect mix of old and new - from neighborhoods of original cobblestone streets and rickety homes to the contemporary Royal Shakespearean Theater.

We finished today with a dinner cruise down the Avon on the Countess of Evesham. While the boat only holds 44 passengers, some were treated to dinner at the Rooftop Restaurant at the Royal Shakespearean Theater. Either option was the perfect ending to the best day yet. We finish today with grateful and happy hearts. This sweet group of travelers are thoroughly enjoying each other in conversation and discovering this incredible country together. We’re going to explore this town top to bottom tomorrow morning! Care to join us?
